Abstract 

Sexuality is an important aspect of modern day living. It is therefore very important to understand any problems related to it and to find appropriate solutions. Taking a good sexual history is thus very important. This aspect of history taking is currently often neglected due to embarrassment experienced on the part of the clinician and the patient. The following review highlights the salient features of a comprehensive sexual history.
